World news can either be about a particular country or an entire global subject. World news is the result of reporters sending news from overseas or gathering information through distance communication technologies. While many journalists work in this field, the term “world news” is not always used correctly. Listed below are some definitions of world news.

Major news agencies are organizations that prepare and publish articles for other news sources. They sell these articles in bulk electronically through wire services. Although telegraphy was originally used for this type of information, today the majority of these wire services use the internet to distribute their articles. Individuals and corporations subscribe to these wire services. Intelligence agencies also subscribe to wire services. While the majority of news organizations use the Internet, there are still traditional sources of news, such as the national newspaper.
